I will be honest that I did not initially fall in love with the Darling Donkeys, but as soon as I started using the stamp set I could not stop! Todays project includes two FREE sale-a-bration items - Flowers & Fields DSP and of course the Darling Donkey stamp set. The Flowers and Fields DSP has some lovely patterns and of course they all coordinate with the fabulous Stampin' Up! inks and cardstock. For this card I used Cherry Cobbler for the cardbase - I have not used this colour for a long time, it coordinates beautifully with this DSP pattern. I also did a simple fancy fold - cut 1.5" off the bottom of the cardbase and then another 2" strip which you can discard. The stitched oval holds the bottom piece in place. I stamped one of the donkey images using Memento ink and then used the Stampin' Blends to colour the donkey - for this one I used the crumb cake duo blends and real red.
