One more Darling Donkey!

I will be honest that I did not initially fall in love with the Darling Donkeys, but as soon as I started using the stamp set I could not stop! Todays project includes two FREE sale-a-bration items - Flowers & Fields DSP and of course the Darling Donkey stamp set.

The Flowers and Fields DSP has some lovely patterns and of course they all coordinate with the fabulous Stampin' Up! inks and cardstock.  For this card I used Cherry Cobbler for the cardbase - I have not used this colour for a long time, it coordinates beautifully with this DSP pattern. I also did a simple fancy fold - cut 1.5" off the bottom of the cardbase and then another 2" strip which you can discard. The stitched oval holds the bottom piece in place.

I stamped one of the donkey images using Memento ink and then used the Stampin' Blends to colour the donkey - for this one I used the crumb cake duo blends and real red.  To add some sparkle I brushed on some wink of stella on the donkey - which you can't see in the picture.
I fussy cut out the donkey image and layered it to the stitched oval and stamped the sentiment in cherry cobbler on a piece of very vanilla.

I love the simplicity of the card and what's even better is that you can earn the stamp set and DSP for free when you spend $120!!

I used the Mini Cut and Emboss Machine to cut out the oval, if you don't have the machine you can use the 2" strip you cut off and use that instead of the black oval. Check out the product list below - everything you need to make lots of these cards and get the DSP and stamp set for free!  I have added the Mini Cut and Emboss Machine and the stitched metal dies to the product list just in case you want those too - this will result in you getting even more free products!!

Diamond Easel Card

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card for an extra special lady who is turning 80 soon - one of my regular crafters (she is not on social media so I know I am safe sharing it here!).  At a recent class she had loved the Forever Fern DSP and the colours we had used, so I knew this is what I had to use to make this card for her. The card is a diamond easel fold which is very easy to make, you do need 12"x12" cardstock as you need a 6"x12" piece of cardstock to make the cardbase. I had a pack of in-colour 12"x12" cardstock, so I used a piece of Just Jade as the base colour and then used Pretty Peacock for all the mats. I selected two different DSP designs from the Forever Greenery pack. I used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a bouquet of foliage using a variety of green tone inks - Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Just Jade. I added a large Just Jade leaf at the back of the bouquet to bring everything together, added champagne foil 80 and finished off ...

Celebrating with other Leaders

I want to share the amazing family and community that Stampin' Up! is.  This past weekend I had the honor to participate in a Leaders Summit for Stampin' Up! demonstrators who are at a certain level in the company.  It was supposed to be held in New Orleans, but unfortunately that was not to be, instead they moved the summit to a virtual platform.  This is Stampin' Up! leadership team . . . I was not sure what to expect, but it was an amazing few days to listen to keynote speakers and other demonstrators.  The day involved various events and opportunities to breakout into small group discussions.  At one of these sessions, I entered the virtual room and there is the CEO of Stampin' Up! - Sara Douglas, that was a complete surprise! My big take away from the event was that Stampin' Up! sees demonstrators as individuals and not as a number, and they want to offer the best possible environment for us to grow. They see the importance of developing relationship...
