Introducing the new In-colours!!

If you are new to Stampin' Up! you may not know that this is an exciting time - the launch of the new Annual Catalogue - and with the launch comes new ink colours!!  Every year we get five new inks colours, these colours are only available for two years.  Here is my new catalogue - check out all the tabs where I have marked the products I have on my wish list:)  If you would like a catalogue, let me know and I will get one to you. The new in-colours are Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Fresh Freesia. The In-colours are avilable in ink, cardstock, embellishments, ribbon and Designer Series Paper.  I made these cards to showcase the new colours along with the ribbon and embellishments. I used one of the new stamp sets to create the cards - Spiral Die - I love the bold pattern and the stamp is only $23 which is an amazing price point. Check out my online store on May 4 to get your hands on the new In-colours and all the other amazing goodies in the ne

Is it a box or a bag?

This week I am sharing a treat bag or is it a box? I am going to go with bag and we made at my virtual stamp camp this past weekend.  It would be perfect for some small baked goodies, jewelry, candle or hand sanitizer. I saw the project made by Angie Juda and just had to try it for myself.  I used the Gleaming Brightly DSP and coordinating punches for the bag. I started with a piece of 11"x 3 1/4" cardstock, I used Pretty Peacock, scoring at 4 3/4" and 6 1/4".  I created the small box in the same colour, measuring 5" x 3 3/8", scoring at 1" on all four sides. Putting the box aside, I decorated the front of the bag with Copper Foil and Gleaming Brightly DSP.  At this point you run the strip of cardstock with the matted front through the Stampin' Emboss and Cut Machine using an oval die - lining up the first handle to cut the second one. Once the handles are cut, I punched out two ornaments; one using the coordinating DSP and the smaller in Copper

My favourite Stampin' Up! products

If you could only have five Stampin' Up! products, one stamp set and one set of metal dies in your craft space, what would they be?  Here is what  I would have . . . 1.  The new Stampin' Seal + is my go to adhesive.  Stampin' Up! changed their adhesives this past year and this one is easy to use and is strong, which is prefect for those 3D projects such as boxes and gift card holders. 2.  The Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine is a must for me!  It is the perfect size and I love that the sides are able to fold up and can be easily stored away.  The machine operates so smoothly, I have said it is like putting a knife through butter! So much better than the two other machines that I have. It is so versatile - die cutting and embossing. 3.  I like that everything coordinates with Stampin' Up! from the ink, to cardstock, embellishments and DSP (Designer Series paper). My go-to inks are the Brights collection closely followed by Regels, Neutrals and Subtles.    4. Whisper w

Challenge Accepted!

My good friend recently saw a project that was made using an electronic crafting machine, she sent the picture asking if I would be able to recreate it? My response was, leave it with me and I will see what I can do!  It took me a few hours as I figure out the measurements - the inside box was the hardest thing and I have now thought of an easier way to create it - next time! This is not my first explosion box - this is what this style of project is called - you lift the lid and the sides fall down to reveal what is inside. I started with a piece of 12x12 real red cardstock, scoring at 4", 8", 12" on two sides.  You cut off the four corners and burnish all the lines.  For the lid I cut a piece of real red 6 1/8" x 6 1/8", scoring 1" on all four sides. That is the basic box made, fairly easy - now time to decorate! I added some Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper to the outside of the box - this paper is beautiful and looks so luxurious, perfect for the outsid
