Helpers in the The Squires Shecave!

We have my parents visiting from England at the moment and I have been putting them to work as they have to quarantine for 14 days!  Today Dad sorted out all my ribbon - I am a bit of a ribbon hoarder - so lots of retired ribbon that will now be packed up to sell:)

Mum has been busy putting all the Paper Pumpkin kits together!  She is thoroughly enjoying herself and will be taking all her creations back home to England with her. If only England had Paper Pumpkin.

I have been busy in The Squires Shecave planning for upcoming classes and creating some projects using some of my new goodies from the new Mini Catalogue (aka the holiday catalogue).  I tried out the Peace & Joy bundle, here is a card I made along with bells from the Sounds of the Season metal dies.

Like this card?  Check out my upcoming holiday classes, as this will definitely be one of the projects we will make!

Diamond Easel Card

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card for an extra special lady who is turning 80 soon - one of my regular crafters (she is not on social media so I know I am safe sharing it here!).  At a recent class she had loved the Forever Fern DSP and the colours we had used, so I knew this is what I had to use to make this card for her. The card is a diamond easel fold which is very easy to make, you do need 12"x12" cardstock as you need a 6"x12" piece of cardstock to make the cardbase. I had a pack of in-colour 12"x12" cardstock, so I used a piece of Just Jade as the base colour and then used Pretty Peacock for all the mats. I selected two different DSP designs from the Forever Greenery pack. I used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a bouquet of foliage using a variety of green tone inks - Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Just Jade. I added a large Just Jade leaf at the back of the bouquet to bring everything together, added champagne foil 80 and finished off

Dragonfly Gardens

Dandy Gardens Suite has a variety of products including DSP, stamp set and punch.  I have not used it too much, so I decided to make a few projects with them.  Here is a fancy fold I made recently . . . I love blue tones, so this DSP really jumped out at me and with all Stampin' Up! DSP, it is doubled sided which makes it easy to create beautiful cards. This DSP comes in a 6"x6" pack.   I created a simple fancy fold card and added panels of the DSP to the front. I cut out two labels using des from the Tasteful Labels dies; one in basic white and the other in Calypso Coral.  The DSP has a sheet of paper that has these large Dragonfly's which coordinate with the punch - no need to stamp anything! I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral along with some tiny dragonflies. I punched out some extra tiny dragonflies in the coordinating DSP and and added them to the front panel. On the back side of the card I added a piece of basic white - I stamped a dragonfly image in calyp
