Introducing the new In-colours!!

 If you are new to Stampin' Up! you may not know that this is an exciting time - the launch of the new Annual Catalogue - and with the launch comes new ink colours!!  Every year we get five new inks colours, these colours are only available for two years.  Here is my new catalogue - check out all the tabs where I have marked the products I have on my wish list:)  If you would like a catalogue, let me know and I will get one to you. The new in-colours are Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Fresh Freesia. The In-colours are avilable in ink, cardstock, embellishments, ribbon and Designer Series Paper.  I made these cards to showcase the new colours along with the ribbon and embellishments. I used one of the new stamp sets to create the cards - Spiral Die - I love the bold pattern and the stamp is only $23 which is an amazing price point. Keeping it simple

Today I want to share a project I made this past weekend using scraps of DSP, and a few other elements to make a simple but fun card.  The card would be perfect to make in bulk to send to friends, coworkers and family for the holidays.




I started off by using my scraps of Heartwarming Hugs DSP,  I had quite a few smaller pieces from another project I had made (I will share that one another day!) which were perfect to cut into 1" x 3.25" strips. I really like the DSP, perfect colours for the holidays and modern patterns.  


I used Pear Pizzazz for the cardbase, added a real red and whisper white layers.  I randomly adhered the DSP strips to the card and stamped the sentiment in real red ink using a stamp from the Christmas Means More stamp set. I cut out two bells from the Sounds of the Season dies using silver and red foil - I cut them out using my new Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine which I totally love, so smooth to use. I used the oval dies to cut out the sentiment and a scalloped oval in Pear Pizzazz.



 

I layered them altogether with some real red braided linen trim. I love the final result, I will be including this card in my upcoming class on October 24; Christmas Stamp-a-stack where crafters will make 10 cards; 2 each of 5 designs.  Let me know if you are interested.

Diamond Easel Card

 I thoroughly enjoyed making this card for an extra special lady who is turning 80 soon - one of my regular crafters (she is not on social media so I know I am safe sharing it here!).  At a recent class she had loved the Forever Fern DSP and the colours we had used, so I knew this is what I had to use to make this card for her. The card is a diamond easel fold which is very easy to make, you do need 12"x12" cardstock as you need a 6"x12" piece of cardstock to make the cardbase. I had a pack of in-colour 12"x12" cardstock, so I used a piece of Just Jade as the base colour and then used Pretty Peacock for all the mats. I selected two different DSP designs from the Forever Greenery pack. I used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a bouquet of foliage using a variety of green tone inks - Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Just Jade. Celebrating with other Leaders

I want to share the amazing family and community that Stampin' Up! is.  This past weekend I had the honor to participate in a Leaders Summit for Stampin' Up! demonstrators who are at a certain level in the company.  It was supposed to be held in New Orleans, but unfortunately that was not to be, instead they moved the summit to a virtual platform.  This is Stampin' Up! leadership team . . . I was not sure what to expect, but it was an amazing few days to listen to keynote speakers and other demonstrators.  The day involved various events and opportunities to breakout into small group discussions.  At one of these sessions, I entered the virtual room and there is the CEO of Stampin' Up! - Sara Douglas, that was a complete surprise! My big take away from the event was that Stampin' Up! sees demonstrators as individuals and not as a number, and they want to offer the best possible environment for us to grow.
