The magic of the stamparatus

My parents are leaving today to head back to England - its been great having them here for the past 7 weeks, before they left I got my Dad to help me out in The Squires Shecave!  I asked him to stamp the back of each card I have available for sale with the required Stampin' Up! logo.  There are lots of cards to stamp!

My Dad has a bit of a shaky hand so the Stamparatus was the perfect tool to help with the project.  I was able to put two different stamps on the plate; one on each side and depending on the style of the card he would flip the plate over.  He is not a crafter at all, but the Stamparatus made the job super easy.  It kept him busy for a few hours!

If you have not used the Stamparatus yet, you really should.  It is the perfect tool to use with all stamps, but in particular getting your sentiments straight, large detailed stamps - it allows you to reink the stamp and stamp again to fill in any missing details or easily stamp a sentiment multiple times to create patterns.  I have a customer who was struggling recently at a class with stamping her sentiment.  I pulled out the Stamparatus and it made it so easy for her.  Check out this video that demonstrates how to make patterns with the Stamparatus.

And now that my Dad has stamped all my cards, they are all ready to be sold - I have a variety of cards available from birthday, all occasion, get well and celebrating the holidays. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing some or ordering a larger quantity of your favoutite card.

Diamond Easel Card

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card for an extra special lady who is turning 80 soon - one of my regular crafters (she is not on social media so I know I am safe sharing it here!).  At a recent class she had loved the Forever Fern DSP and the colours we had used, so I knew this is what I had to use to make this card for her. The card is a diamond easel fold which is very easy to make, you do need 12"x12" cardstock as you need a 6"x12" piece of cardstock to make the cardbase. I had a pack of in-colour 12"x12" cardstock, so I used a piece of Just Jade as the base colour and then used Pretty Peacock for all the mats. I selected two different DSP designs from the Forever Greenery pack. I used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a bouquet of foliage using a variety of green tone inks - Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Just Jade. I added a large Just Jade leaf at the back of the bouquet to bring everything together, added champagne foil 80 and finished off ...

Keeping it simple

Today I want to share a project I made this past weekend using scraps of DSP, and a few other elements to make a simple but fun card.  The card would be perfect to make in bulk to send to friends, coworkers and family for the holidays. I started off by using my scraps of Heartwarming Hugs DSP,  I had quite a few smaller pieces from another project I had made (I will share that one another day!) which were perfect to cut into 1" x 3.25" strips. I really like the DSP, perfect colours for the holidays and modern patterns.   I used Pear Pizzazz for the cardbase, added a real red and whisper white layers.  I randomly adhered the DSP strips to the card and stamped the sentiment in real red ink using a stamp from the Christmas Means More stamp set. I cut out two bells from the Sounds of the Season dies using silver and red foil - I cut them out using my new Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine which I totally love, so smooth to use. I used the oval dies to cut out the sent...
