This week I am sharing a treat bag or is it a box? I am going to go with bag and we made at my virtual stamp camp this past weekend. It would be perfect for some small baked goodies, jewelry, candle or hand sanitizer.
I saw the project made by Angie Juda and just had to try it for myself. I used the Gleaming Brightly DSP and coordinating punches for the bag.
I started with a piece of 11"x 3 1/4" cardstock, I used Pretty Peacock, scoring at 4 3/4" and 6 1/4". I created the small box in the same colour, measuring 5" x 3 3/8", scoring at 1" on all four sides. Putting the box aside, I decorated the front of the bag with Copper Foil and Gleaming Brightly DSP. At this point you run the strip of cardstock with the matted front through the Stampin' Emboss and Cut Machine using an oval die - lining up the first handle to cut the second one.
Once the handles are cut, I punched out two ornaments; one using the coordinating DSP and the smaller in Copper Foil and embossed it. I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and finished it off with Gilded Gems to add some bling.
Now that the front is decorated, I took the little box and adhered it in place between the two scored lines on the cardstock - I used my Stampin' Seal + - the perfect adhesive for all those 3D projects. Once the box is in place, I tied the handles together with some Misty Moonlight ribbon
Super easy bag/box to make, but very cute. I have a few made so will be giving them out this holiday season with a little something special inside.
