My favourite Stampin' Up! products

If you could only have five Stampin' Up! products, one stamp set and one set of metal dies in your craft space, what would they be?  Here is what  I would have . . .

1.

The new Stampin' Seal + is my go to adhesive.  Stampin' Up! changed their adhesives this past year and this one is easy to use and is strong, which is prefect for those 3D projects such as boxes and gift card holders.

2.

The Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine is a must for me!  It is the perfect size and I love that the sides are able to fold up and can be easily stored away.  The machine operates so smoothly, I have said it is like putting a knife through butter! So much better than the two other machines that I have. It is so versatile - die cutting and embossing.

3.

I like that everything coordinates with Stampin' Up! from the ink, to cardstock, embellishments and DSP (Designer Series paper). My go-to inks are the Brights collection closely followed by Regels, Neutrals and Subtles.

4.

Whisper white cardstock is a must for any project!  I have actually selected the thick version as it adds quality and luxury to your projects. It works with all our mediums; ink, Stampin' Write Markers and Stampin' Blends - another of my favourites!

5.

Wink of Stella made my list as it adds sparkle to any project and I love how easy it is to use.  Just unscrew the lid and brush it on like a paint brush.

Favourite Stamp Set

I think you have heard me say that the Celebrate Sunflowers is my favourite stamp set ever!  I love the large sunflower image; it can be stamped with just ink or add some additional colour using the Stampin' Blends.

Favourite Metal Dies

I have used these metal dies on many of projects recently, they are so versatile - variety of sizes and shapes - and the embossed edge just provides some elegance, which is perfect for their name - Tasteful Label Dies.

Let me know in the comments what would be your go-to products in your craft space.

Diamond Easel Card

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card for an extra special lady who is turning 80 soon - one of my regular crafters (she is not on social media so I know I am safe sharing it here!).  At a recent class she had loved the Forever Fern DSP and the colours we had used, so I knew this is what I had to use to make this card for her. The card is a diamond easel fold which is very easy to make, you do need 12"x12" cardstock as you need a 6"x12" piece of cardstock to make the cardbase. I had a pack of in-colour 12"x12" cardstock, so I used a piece of Just Jade as the base colour and then used Pretty Peacock for all the mats. I selected two different DSP designs from the Forever Greenery pack. I used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a bouquet of foliage using a variety of green tone inks - Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Just Jade. I added a large Just Jade leaf at the back of the bouquet to bring everything together, added champagne foil 80 and finished off

Dragonfly Gardens

Dandy Gardens Suite has a variety of products including DSP, stamp set and punch.  I have not used it too much, so I decided to make a few projects with them.  Here is a fancy fold I made recently . . . I love blue tones, so this DSP really jumped out at me and with all Stampin' Up! DSP, it is doubled sided which makes it easy to create beautiful cards. This DSP comes in a 6"x6" pack.   I created a simple fancy fold card and added panels of the DSP to the front. I cut out two labels using des from the Tasteful Labels dies; one in basic white and the other in Calypso Coral.  The DSP has a sheet of paper that has these large Dragonfly's which coordinate with the punch - no need to stamp anything! I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral along with some tiny dragonflies. I punched out some extra tiny dragonflies in the coordinating DSP and and added them to the front panel. On the back side of the card I added a piece of basic white - I stamped a dragonfly image in calyp
