If you are new to Stampin' Up! you may not know that this is an exciting time - the launch of the new Annual Catalogue - and with the launch comes new ink colours!!  Every year we get five new inks colours, these colours are only available for two years.  Here is my new catalogue - check out all the tabs where I have marked the products I have on my wish list:)  If you would like a catalogue, let me know and I will get one to you. The new in-colours are Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Fresh Freesia. The In-colours are avilable in ink, cardstock, embellishments, ribbon and Designer Series Paper.  I made these cards to showcase the new colours along with the ribbon and embellishments. Well Suited

On Sunday I had my monthly team get together and this month I shared a sketch with the team to draw some inspiration. If you have never used a sketch, try it out, the sketch provides you with the card layout and you just decide on the stamp set, papers, and colours.  This is the sketch I shared with the team. I tend not to make masculine cards, so I have challenged myself to make more and I thought the sketch would be the perfect.  I used products from the Well Suited suite and used gray tones - colours that I don't always tend to use. The suite has lovely DSP, a variety of different colours and patterns.  The gray hues work so well together.  I used the Rectangle and Square Stitched dies to cut out some of the shapes. Did you check out that tie? I love it.  There are two different stamps with different designs.  I stamped the image using Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder and then cut it out with one of the coordinating dies. I used a few Matte Black Dots to

Stampin' Up! Blending Brushes

Did you catch my first Facebook Live a couple of weeks ago?  If not, check my Facebook page; annesstampingroom. I decided to showcase the Simply Succulent bundle and the new blending brushes.  It seems I cannot get enough of both of these things as I made the cards again but this time using some bright colours. You get three blending brushed in each pack and you do not need one for each colour - I am going to have one for each colour family - greens, blues, purples etc. When you cut out the big die image from the Simply Succulent bundle, you can make two cards by using the die cut as a stencil. After laying the die cut over a piece of basic white cardstock I used the blending brush to layer the three different ink colours - Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo and Mango Melody. Once done, you have two different coloured pieces For the card using the cutout, I stamped a small succulent image on Melon Mambo cardstock with coordinating ink and cut out with the metal die. I added simple sparkle by

Colouring with Stampin Blends!

Who loves to colour? I do!! I can spend hours just colouring.  Stampin' Up! has some amazing stamp sets with images that are ideal for colouring with the Stampin Blends.  The Blends are the perfect medium for both beginner and avid crafters alike.  They are sold in pairs - a light and dark shade of each colour, this allows the user to create beautiful projects adding definition and shading to images. I am offering a Stampin Blends Club as part of my schedule this year and this past weekend was the first of four sessions. The crafters learned the basics of colouring with the Blends.  Good Morning Magnolia is the perfect stamp set to use as it has a large flower image that is ideal for colouring and adding shading. Each month the crafters will get different colours to build their Stampin Blends collection, we started with Mossy Meadow, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink.  You don't see the true colours in the photos but you can see how the two shades allow you to add the shading and

Chopping Up Your DSP!

If you are like me, I love DSP and often find it difficult to cut it up and use it. Kylie Bertucci, an Australian SU Demonstrator, recently encouraged you to chop up your DSP - I took the plunge! I chopped a few sheets of DSP into 4"x4" and then cut the square in half in various directions. This is what I created. If you chopped up a whole package of DSP into 4"x4" squares, you have enough to make 108 cards!!!! Then all you need to do is add a sentiment, some ribbon, and embellishments.   I made the sentiments easy too - I used the Many Messages bundle - which allows you to stamp and cut 19 sentiments all at once. I used the white kraft ink on black cardstock, I thought the black would coordinate with a variety of colours.  I then added some flowers and embellishments to finish off the cards. A super simple way to make a batch of cards for all occasions - give it a try! Product List Many Messages Bundle [ 156272 ] $68.25 Dandy Garden 6"
