SALE-a-bration!!!

 Happy New year!!!!

It's an exciting time in the Stampin' Up! world - we have the release of the new Mini Catalogue along with Sale-a-bration, this is when you can earn free product!!!  For every $60 you spend, you earn free product that are in the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.  Over the next week I am going to showcase some of the products that you can choose for free, starting with the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper (item # 155125).

This 6x6 DSP comes in four fabulous colours - Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Roccoc Rose and Blackberry Bliss - I love all these colours, especially Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green.

Here are two cards I made using the paper . . .

As with all Stampin' Up! DSP, they are double sided - both have the ombre effect, one plain the other side has the circles. I have to say that I love both sides of this paper and I can see myself using this a lot in my upcoming classes.  In fact, my first class of the year we will be using the Blackberry Bliss DSP:) For this card I used the Quite Curvy bundle and the small bloom punch.

And for the next card I coordinated the Granny Apple Green ombre DSP with one of the free stamp sets
 - Approaching Perfection, item #155282.

I stamped the candles image randomly on the DSP using Granny Apple Green ink, stamping off before stamping on the DSP.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I used white embossing powder and cut it out using the metal dies form the so sentimental bundle.

Both of these cards are super simple to make and best of all most of the products are FREE!!!

Diamond Easel Card

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card for an extra special lady who is turning 80 soon - one of my regular crafters (she is not on social media so I know I am safe sharing it here!).  At a recent class she had loved the Forever Fern DSP and the colours we had used, so I knew this is what I had to use to make this card for her. The card is a diamond easel fold which is very easy to make, you do need 12"x12" cardstock as you need a 6"x12" piece of cardstock to make the cardbase. I had a pack of in-colour 12"x12" cardstock, so I used a piece of Just Jade as the base colour and then used Pretty Peacock for all the mats. I selected two different DSP designs from the Forever Greenery pack. I used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a bouquet of foliage using a variety of green tone inks - Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Just Jade. I added a large Just Jade leaf at the back of the bouquet to bring everything together, added champagne foil 80 and finished off ...

Celebrating with other Leaders

I want to share the amazing family and community that Stampin' Up! is.  This past weekend I had the honor to participate in a Leaders Summit for Stampin' Up! demonstrators who are at a certain level in the company.  It was supposed to be held in New Orleans, but unfortunately that was not to be, instead they moved the summit to a virtual platform.  This is Stampin' Up! leadership team . . . I was not sure what to expect, but it was an amazing few days to listen to keynote speakers and other demonstrators.  The day involved various events and opportunities to breakout into small group discussions.  At one of these sessions, I entered the virtual room and there is the CEO of Stampin' Up! - Sara Douglas, that was a complete surprise! My big take away from the event was that Stampin' Up! sees demonstrators as individuals and not as a number, and they want to offer the best possible environment for us to grow. They see the importance of developing relationship...
