Snailed It

I have to say that I have fallen in love with the Snailed It suite of products. I made this card using the DSP and metal dies during my monthly team get together this past weekend.

The DSP has some lovely combinations - real red, daffodil delight, blushing bride, bermuda bay and basic gray. For this card I used blushing bride and real red.

I used 1" strips of DSP to create the design, I ended up up cutting the DSP in two directions so that the strips running towards the centre were in the upright direction - check out the card at the end where they were not - both work, but I do like this one a tad better. I adhered the strips to a white matt making sure they were evenly spaced.  I used multiple purpose glue as it is more forgiving and allows you to move the DSP before firmly adhering in place. Finish by trimming all the strips with your paper snips.

I stamped the sentiment in real red ink and added a resin heart embellishment - simple but pretty.  My original card has the sentiment and the matt strip straight, when reaching to grab something, I moved the cardstock and the sentiment became offset.  I liked it, so decided to adhere it in place like that.

One of the great things I like about this suite of products is that the metal dies coordinate with some of the characters on the DSP.  So instead of stamping a snail image, I cut out one of the larger snail images from the DSP using the metal die - quick and easy way to add a little something to any project.

Here are the two cards I created using different DSP  - did you notice the tiny little envelop?  You make it with one of the coordinating metal dies - I just love it.

I have class coming in March using products from this suite - would love to have you join us. Email me at annesstampingroom@gmail.com for more details.

Diamond Easel Card

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card for an extra special lady who is turning 80 soon - one of my regular crafters (she is not on social media so I know I am safe sharing it here!).  At a recent class she had loved the Forever Fern DSP and the colours we had used, so I knew this is what I had to use to make this card for her. The card is a diamond easel fold which is very easy to make, you do need 12"x12" cardstock as you need a 6"x12" piece of cardstock to make the cardbase. I had a pack of in-colour 12"x12" cardstock, so I used a piece of Just Jade as the base colour and then used Pretty Peacock for all the mats. I selected two different DSP designs from the Forever Greenery pack. I used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a bouquet of foliage using a variety of green tone inks - Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Just Jade. I added a large Just Jade leaf at the back of the bouquet to bring everything together, added champagne foil 80 and finished off

Dragonfly Gardens

Dandy Gardens Suite has a variety of products including DSP, stamp set and punch.  I have not used it too much, so I decided to make a few projects with them.  Here is a fancy fold I made recently . . . I love blue tones, so this DSP really jumped out at me and with all Stampin' Up! DSP, it is doubled sided which makes it easy to create beautiful cards. This DSP comes in a 6"x6" pack.   I created a simple fancy fold card and added panels of the DSP to the front. I cut out two labels using des from the Tasteful Labels dies; one in basic white and the other in Calypso Coral.  The DSP has a sheet of paper that has these large Dragonfly's which coordinate with the punch - no need to stamp anything! I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral along with some tiny dragonflies. I punched out some extra tiny dragonflies in the coordinating DSP and and added them to the front panel. On the back side of the card I added a piece of basic white - I stamped a dragonfly image in calyp
