Introducing the new In-colours!!

If you are new to Stampin' Up! you may not know that this is an exciting time - the launch of the new Annual Catalogue - and with the launch comes new ink colours!!  Every year we get five new inks colours, these colours are only available for two years.  Here is my new catalogue - check out all the tabs where I have marked the products I have on my wish list:)  If you would like a catalogue, let me know and I will get one to you. The new in-colours are Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Fresh Freesia. The In-colours are avilable in ink, cardstock, embellishments, ribbon and Designer Series Paper.  I made these cards to showcase the new colours along with the ribbon and embellishments. I used one of the new stamp sets to create the cards - Spiral Die - I love the bold pattern and the stamp is only $23 which is an amazing price point. Check out my online store on May 4 to get your hands on the new In-colours and all the other amazi...

Snowflake Splendor Fancy Fold

I really enjoy making fancy fold cards, often they look complicated or fussy to make, but often they are quite easy and that's the case for this card.  From the outside it looks like your usual card, but open it up and that's where you see the fancy fold ! I love the DSP from the Snowflake Splendor suite and this card really showcases the paper.  I used other elements from the suite - stamp set, dies, ribbon and embellishments.  I started off with the usual 51/2" x 4 1/4" cardbase, added a highland heather mat followed by snowflake splendor DSP.   One of the cards I cut out small snowflakes in silver foil and used the tasteful labels dies to cut out the sentiment.  I think it makes the card so elegant.  For the other card I customized a snowflake using three different layers; balmy blue and highland heather cardstock and silver foil, for both cards I added a blue gem to each snowflake to give them a bit of glimmer along with snowflake splendor ri...

The magic of the stamparatus

My parents are leaving today to head back to England - its been great having them here for the past 7 weeks, before they left I got my Dad to help me out in The Squires Shecave!  I asked him to stamp the back of each card I have available for sale with the required Stampin' Up! logo.  There are lots of cards to stamp! My Dad has a bit of a shaky hand so the Stamparatus was the perfect tool to help with the project.  I was able to put two different stamps on the plate; one on each side and depending on the style of the card he would flip the plate over.  He is not a crafter at all, but the Stamparatus made the job super easy.  It kept him busy for a few hours! If you have not used the Stamparatus yet, you really should.  It is the perfect tool to use with all stamps, but in particular getting your sentiments straight, large detailed stamps - it allows you to reink the stamp and stamp again to fill in any missing details or easily stamp a sentiment mult...

Celebrate Sunflowers

I want to share a notebook that I created for my customers who participated in a recent class I hosted.  The class was using the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and dies and I thought the notebook from Linda Powell would be the perfect thank you gift for my crafters. I started by covering the front of the notebook, which I bought from Amazon, with basic black cardstock.  I stamped the large sunflower image in crushed curry ink on coordinating cardstock and cut out the top layer in daffodil delight.  I have to say the new Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine makes it super easy to cut out the detailed dies from this set.   The centre of the flowers are cut with crumb cake cardstock and I used a sponge dauber to add to some colour around the edge. I stamped the small flower in pumpkin pie ink on coordinating cardstock and the leaves are stamped in pear pizzazz ink and the top layer is old olive cardstock. I really like the flowering branches (not sure what to call the...
